At COP29: Launching "WORKS with Nature"We’re thrilled to announce the launch of “WORKS with Nature: Low Carbon Adaptation Techniques for a Changing World” at COP29! This guide presents 100 low-carbon, landscape-based techniques to address climate challenges like floods, fires, droughts, and heat, while fostering biodiversity and community health. This initiative, developed by IFLA's Climate and Biodiversity Working Group in collaboration with IFLA’s regional bodies—IFLA Europe, IFLA APR, IFLA Middle East, and IFLA Africa—is designed to inspire countries crafting National Adaptation Plans and beyond. Special thanks to Pamela Conrad (Lead Author) and Kotchakorn Voraakhom (Contributing Author) for their invaluable contributions. IFLA President Dr. Bruno Marques highlights: “WORKS with Nature is a testament to the power of nature-based solutions. It reminds us that by working with nature, we can heal our planet and build thriving communities. Let this guide inspire us to create resilient, biodiverse, and beautiful landscapes for generations to come.” Access the guide here: WORKS with Nature
